Theme: Faith and tolerance - religious liberty in tension between individual and society

It is easy to look at religious liberty as inevitable in the modern western society. Should individuals and religious groups be allowed to practise their religion as they want to? The topics regarding religious liberty increase and becomes more of current interest. Should all public religious expressions be tolerated? Should every single denomination have sovereignity or should the government be allowed to step in if necessary?
This is a conference which seeks to throw light on religious liberty in the span between government, individual, society and religious groups. Lecturers will discuss topics connected to the relationship between faith and tolerance from different perspectives.
The Oslo Student Conference (OSC) is a part of the student-program run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oslo.
